Professor Stuart McDonald was Professor of Forensic and Clinical Anatomy at the University of Glasgow and taught anatomy to countless medical, dental and science students for over 40 years. A wonderful teacher, those lucky enough to be taught by and work alongside him will share so many wonderful memories of his warmth and humour and of his wonderful anatomical drawings. Sadly, Stuart passed away in May 2023. Stuart had a passion for the head and neck and the value of drawing in learning anatomy therefore this award has been created in his memory to honour all that he did for anatomy and the University.
This annual prize is awarded to the student who creates the best original hand-created labelled anatomical drawing of any aspect of head and neck anatomy. The award is open to Year 2 Medical, Year 3 Dental and Year 3 Anatomy BSc honours students at the University of Glasgow. |
