This year's theme is "Global perspectives of anatomy – bringing together the global community and recognising differences while celebrating similarities". This theme was announced by the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA) for World Anatomy Day 2025. We are proud to adopt and celebrate this global vision through our competition.

By submitting your work to this competition, you agree for us to showcase your work in a virtual exhibition, hosted as a page within this domain, alongside your bio and inspiration paragraph, and for publicity of future competitions. The top three entries will also be printed on canvas and showcased at the University of Glasgow Museum of Anatomy.

General Requirements
- Only one entry/art piece per person. Portfolio entries will not be accepted.
- All submissions must be accompanied by an institutional email. Entries with personal emails will not be judged.
- Pictures of original hand-drawn/painted or images of digitally created visual art, including abstract art, or pictures of original crafts set in the context of anatomical sciences and aligned with this year's theme. This can include, but is not limited to, the following: visual art; sculpture; pottery; paper crafts; glass art; woodturning; textiles; weaving; embroidery; crochet; quilting.
- Generative Artificial Intelligence (genAI) must not be used to produce or inform your art pieces/images. If genAI has been used, your art piece will be disqualified.
- Open to all current undergraduate students, from around the world, who learnt or are learning about human anatomy. This is not only limited to science or professional degrees (i.e., medicine, dentistry). Everyone is welcome to submit their work as long as they are a current undergraduate student who has or is learning human anatomy.
- Each submission should be accompanied by a short bio of maximum 50 words, including the artist's preferred name, and an inspiration paragraph or maximum 100 words for the art piece.
- We recommend that you sign your art piece as you see appropriate.
- Please ensure you follow your country's anatomical regulations and legislation when creating and submitting your art work to us.
Technical Requirements
- File format of JPEG for pictures of original hand-drawn/painted art or original crafts.
- File format of PNG for digitally created visual art.
- File format of word doc for short bio and inspiration paragraph.
- File names should use the following convention: Surname_FirstName_TitleofPiece_Year.
